We do not recommend baking soda because it can damage the product through chemical reaction.
‘ Scleroid ’  refers to the formation of an oxide aluminum  film while ‘ coated ’  means that a coating agent is applied to aluminum.
‘ PFOA ’  means perfluorooctanoic acid . EUGENE TOSCO products do not contain PFOA, lead and cadmium for consumers ’  health.
Since the lifespan of nonstick coating greatly varies depending on operating conditions and frequency  of use, it is hard to tell how long it would last.
To extend the  lifespan, avoid high temperature. In addition , do not heat a pan with nothing in it. It is also recommended to use low or medium flame.
There are many misunderstandings on PFOA and nonstick coating. EUGENE TOSCO nonstick coating is made with PTFE, not with PFOA.
If normally used at home, the nonstick coating may rarely come off.
However, If the pan is stressed a lot such as the use of metallic tools or heating a pan with nothing in it,
the coating can get cracked. It is recommended to use a plastic or wooden tool.
Refer to the accompanying user manual and follow the instructions. Then, the pan will remain effective long.
To make the coating last long, you need to use a small  amount of oil while stir-frying or roasting. However, cooking oil is not necessary  during boiling or steaming.
If the bottom is just flat, we can’t tell if it would become convex or concave when heated.
If it gets concave, the pan would not be recognized by the induction cooktop. In addition,
it would keep spinning and remain unstable on any surface. After all, it becomes a genuinely ‘defective’ pan.
To avoid such problem, EUGENE TOSCO pans are designed slightly (nearly 1mm) convexly.
Therefore, when heated, the bottom area increases through thermal expansion.
If the pan is heated with nothing in it, or it is cooled in cold water or placed on a cold surface when it is very hot,
it could be deformed due to thermal shock and abrupt temperature changes. Please wait for the pan to cool before washing.
The handle can get loose over time because of repetitive heating and cooling.
Fasten the handle to the pan, using a screwdriver.
Do not screw too much to avoid damage.
If excessive force is applied to the aluminum pan or pot, it could be deformed.
(A pan/pot will not be deformed by the heat during ordinary cooking.)
Do NEVER put a frying pan into a microwave oven.
Some components are safe to be put in the dishwasher while some others aren’t.
Ensure to carefully read and understand the  user manual. If safe to be put in the dishwasher, use neutral detergent.
Some dishwashers are not compatible with pans/pots. Ensure to check the user manual before use.
[Nonstick Coated Pan]

Wash manually with kitchen detergent .
Wash pans whenever  used and remove an oil film which could remain on the surface.
If the pan is wiped with a paper towel or washed with water only, the oil film could still remain on the surface.
Then, it may cause a stain at next cooking. Do not wash the nonstick coated frying pan with abrasive powder or a scrubbing brush.
It is recommended to use a soft nylon sponge in washing frying pans.

[Ceramic Pan]

For ceramic pans, it is recommended to wash manually, using water and kitchen detergent.
If a pan remains unclean even after washing, heat the pan with the water into which vinegar drops are added.
The water mixed  with vinegar is heated and cleanly washes the pan. Rinse and dry the pan properly.
Then, pour a small  amount of vegetable oil such as sunflower oil and gently rub the surface.

If a stain still remains on the bottom, wash the pan in hot water, using powerful oil cleanser.
If necessary, it is okay to use a plastic scrubbing brush or a small amount of abrasive liquid detergent.
